About Me
Ritha Fellerman is a fine-arts photographer based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She holds a BA in Fine Arts from Indiana University, beginning as a painter before switching to photography under the tutelage of Jo Brenzo at the Photographic Gallery, followed by technical classes at the London School of Photography,
While working at the Visual Arts Center in Anchorage, Alaska, Ritha received an MBA.; today, she provides market research services for a New York consulting company and consulting services for fine arts and nonprofit organizations.
Volunteering has long been a passion, especially exposing children to the arts. In Texas, Ritha set up a summer program to teach English to refugee children in the context of visual and performing arts. It was great fun. When students began arriving earlier and earlier, the schedule was changed to accommodate the students. In addition to learning English, the kids used creativity to externalize trauma through visual art, music, dance, and drama.
